Patna, 18 November (HS). Audit Awareness Week is being celebrated under the joint aegis of all the Comptroller and Auditor General offices of Bihar state. In this sequence, two workshops were organized today as capacity building sessions on the topics “Improving the quality of drafting of audit reports” and “Relations with stakeholders”.
This program was organized under the leadership of Deputy Accountant General Sujay Kumar Sinha. The workshop was conducted by Rajesh Kumar Das Senior Audit Officer and Azad Kumar Senior Audit Officer.
The objective of these workshops was to develop the specific skills and knowledge of the participants at various levels related to their field of work and to improve the quality of drafting of audit reports and to spread awareness about the functioning of the section of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). Scope, objectives, structure of audit report, conventions to be followed, common errors, carefully used words and phrases, role of stakeholders, PAC and other stakeholders were discussed to sensitize the participants. At the end of the session, several questions were raised by the participants on the above mentioned topics, which were appropriately answered by the Deputy Accountant General and Senior Audit Officer.
