West Champaran (Bagaha), 28 September (HS). Life has become busy due to intermittent heavy rains in Valmikinagar police station area for the last three days. Due to continuous rains, the ground has become damp, due to which trees are falling on roads and wires at many places. In the same sequence, on Saturday evening, in Navka Tola village of Valmiki Nagar police station area, two teak trees fell on an electric wire worth Rs. 11,000 and got damaged, due to which the power supply came to a standstill.
With the help of villagers, efforts are being made to remove two fallen trees. Till the time of writing the news, cutting of trees was going on, due to which the power supply in Valmiki Nagar police station area has come to a standstill.
When asked, Junior Engineer of the Electricity Board, W Mahato, said that due to rain and strong wind, the electric wire has been damaged due to a tree falling on it, which will be repaired soon and the electricity supply will be restored.
