Jaunpur, 29 October (Hindustan Reporter). Two teachers of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University were relieved of duty due to indiscipline. This decision was taken in the emergency meeting of the Executive Council held on Monday. The emergency meeting of the Executive Council was held offline and online in the Vice Chancellor Auditorium under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Professor Vandana Singh. After consideration, the council decided that the allegations against both the teachers are serious and Dr. Sudhir Upadhyay, teacher of Environmental Science, and Dr. Vinay Verma, teacher of Pharmacy Institute, should be relieved from the education service.
Many environmental science students had accused teacher Dr. Sudhir Upadhyay of misbehavior. This trend continued. An audio of this matter also went viral, on which the Vice Chancellor formed an inquiry committee. Although the committee had given the report in favor of the accused teacher, the matter was put up in the executive council meeting and his conduct towards the students was found to be wrong for a long time. There were several complaints, taking cognizance of which the Council relieved him from the education service.
The second case was that of Dr. Vinay Verma of the Pharmacy Institute, who was accused of conducting wrong evaluation and assaulting the teachers. A case was also registered against this and the matter gained a lot of attention. Taking cognizance, the Council relieved Dr. Vinay Verma, teacher of the Pharmacy Institute, from his duty. Apart from this, the meetings of the Vidya Parishad Study Council Examination Committee held recently were confirmed. Registrar Mahendra Kumar conducted the meeting. On this occasion Professor Jagdish Singh Dixit, Prof. Ajay Dwivedi, Controller of Examinations Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh, Finance Officer Sanjay Kumar Rai, Dr. Mohan Pandey, Dr. Sushil Kumar, Dr. Manish Gupta were other members of the Executive Council.
At present, no written information has been given by the university administration regarding the termination of service of teachers. Nor should the teachers be relieved of their duties.
Some letter has been given. An attempt was made to talk to the Registrar regarding this matter, but his phone did not pick up.
Academic Council member Prof. Ajay Kumar Dubey told on Tuesday that regarding the meeting, he said that it is a very confidential meeting. Only the members and the accused are aware of this. Although in both these cases the teachers have been relieved of duty in the meeting, but due to the action not being recorded in the register, they have not been given the relief letter yet.
