Ranchi, 5 November (HS). Two students of the Sanskrit Department of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee University have secured a place in the top ten positions in the All India Vaibhav Gyan Examination organized under the aegis of Chaturveda Sanskrit Prachar Sansthan, Varanasi. Shivam Narayan, a second semester graduate student of the university, has secured fourth position in this competition while Pratima Chauhan has secured seventh position. With these achievements he has not only brought glory to his university but also shown his dedication towards Sanskrit language and culture.
More than 200 students from various universities and colleges of India participated in this all India level competition. It was attended by talented students from prestigious institutions like Delhi University, Kashi Hindu University, Allahabad University, Central Sanskrit University, Himachal Pradesh University, Dr. Hari Singh Gaur Central University, Sampoornanand Sanskrit University, Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University and Shri Somnath Sanskrit University. The objective of this examination is to promote Sanskrit language and make it popular among the youth.
There is a wave of happiness in the Sanskrit department of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University on this success of Shivam Narayan and Pratima Chauhan. Head of the Department, Dr. Dhananjay Vasudev Dwivedi congratulated both the students for their hard work and dedication and said that this achievement is a matter of pride for the department. Along with this, departmental teachers Dr. Jagadamba Prasad, Dr. Srimitra, Kumari Jaya, and Manisha Bodra also congratulated Shivam and Pratima and wished for their bright future. Teachers of the department say that the success of these students is not only their individual achievement, but it also serves to enhance the prestige of the entire university and the Sanskrit department.
