Katihar, 21 August (HS). On Wednesday, the police arrested two smugglers with smack and cash from Khudna village of Rautara police station area of ​​the district and sent them to judicial custody.

The arrested smuggler Rajesh Kumar Paswan, son of Ramdev Paswan, is a resident of Imli Tola Gulaab Bagh of Purnia Sadar police station area and Dharmveer Kumar, son of Prabhu Paswan, is a resident of Khudna village of Katihar Rautara police station area.

In this regard, the Sadar SDPO said that the Rautara police station chief had received secret information that Chhotu Paswan of Khudna village under Rautara police station deals in illegal smack business. The police station chief informed the Superintendent of Police about the information received. Thereafter, as per the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, a raid team was formed under the leadership of the police station chief of Rautara police station.

Taking immediate action, the constituted team duly raided the house of Chhotu Paswan in village Khudna. On seeing the police force, two-three persons started running away. Out of which one person managed to escape and two persons were caught. 46.24 grams of smack brought for smuggling, electronic scale for weighing smack, one lakh five thousand five hundred ninety rupees in cash and two motorcycles were seized from them. In this context, Rautara police station case number-69/24 has been registered under section-8(C)/20(B)/21(B) NDPS Act.
