Two smugglers arrested with ganja at Gosaigaon railway station

Kokrajhar (Assam), March 03 (HS). Two smugglers have been arrested with 20 kg of ganja in Gosaigaon. According to the information given by the police today, ganja was seized last night at Gosaigaon railway station.

The raiding team seized the ganja when the smugglers were boarding the Brahmaputra Mail train to take the ganja to Delhi.

The market value of the seized ganja is estimated to be lakhs of rupees. Two youths have also been arrested in this case. One of the arrested youth has been identified as Surat Jamal, resident of Sapkata of Gosaigaon division and the other as Farooq Abdullah of Malaguri. Whereas, another youth is said to be absconding.

Assam Police and Railway Police jointly conducted the operation and seized ganja. The weight of the seized ganja is said to be twenty kg.
