Recently in the Erich police station area of the district, in broad daylight, the police had an encounter with the miscreants involved in the robbery of Rs 28 lakh from the accountant of a cattle trader. In the late night encounter between the joint team of SWAT and Erich police station, two criminals were injured by bullets in their legs. One got scared and surrendered. The three robbers involved in the robbery were nabbed and cash, pistols-cartridges and bike were recovered from their possession. In the conspiracy of robbery, Galla Munim was the mastermind of the robbery and his employee working there was the mastermind of the robbery.
SP City Gyanendra Kumar said that two miscreants riding a bike had looted Rs 28 lakh from the accountant Pathak of Galla trader Jamil Khan near Jhabra Pulia of Erich police station area, when he was going to the trader with cash from the bank. The SWAT team engaged in uncovering this incident and the Erich police station arrested Barua Sagar residents Ravi Pal, Ashok Kushwaha and Narpat from the forest of Erich late night during the encounter.
According to the police, Ravi Pal, who worked for middleman Jameel, was arrested for orchestrating the robbery at a coal trader's house. It was he who had organized the robbery by informing his associates Narpat and Ashok. Today, police teams received information that the criminals who committed the robbery were roaming in the forests of Eruch in an attempt to escape from the district.
Seeing the police teams that arrived on this information, the miscreants started firing and running away with the help of a bike. The police team defended itself and retaliated. Among these, two miscreants Ravipal and Narpat were shot in the legs and both were injured. The scoundrel Ashok got scared and surrendered. Police have recovered cash worth Rs 25 lakh, pistol-cartridges and the bike used in the incident from their possession. Right now the police team is interrogating. SP City said that the miscreants are said to be residents of Saraul village. Further action is being taken on these.
