Mumbai: Two Nigerians were caught with drugs worth Rs 5.62 crore in Navi Mumbai on Saturday. In this case, the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Mumbai Police Crime Branch has arrested three people including two Nigerians.
According to the information received, acting on a tip-off, the Anti-Narcotics Cell raided a residential complex in Taloja on Saturday. During the raid, police arrested two Nigerian men, Onyeka Hillary Ilodinso, 25, and Chidibere Christopher Muogalu, 40, with cocaine and mephedrone. The Anti-Narcotics Cell recovered 2.42 kg of Mephedrone and 174 grams of cocaine from Oneka. Its estimated market price is Rs. It appears to be P.62 crore. Upon checking Chidibere’s visa and passport, it was found that he was staying here illegally even though his visa had expired.
Apart from this, on Sunday, the police also arrested the owner of the house who had rented the room to these two Nigerians. Who gave rooms on rent to both the foreign nationals without any registration.
Police registered a case against the three accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Foreign Nationals Act and Registration of Foreign Nationals Act and conducted further investigation in the case.
