Varanasi, 28 February (HS). Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is going to start two new scholarships for Chemistry students. For both the new scholarships, the university has received a donation of Rs 10 lakh under the reimbursement scheme.
It is worth noting that on December 22, 2023, it was agreed to provide scholarships to two students each in Chemistry and Law and a donation of Rs 20 lakh was given. The donor has so far donated Rs 30 lakh to provide a total of six scholarships. Madan Mohan Kayastha, who obtained M.Tech degree in Industrial Chemistry from BHU in 1951, and his wife Santosh Kayastha have provided financial support to the University to start these scholarships in the memory of their parents.
