Two Naxalites of TSPC area commander Diwakar squad arrested


Ranchi, June 18 (HS). The Budhmu police station of the capital has arrested two members of the banned Naxalite organization Third Conference Presentation Committee (TSPC) area commander Diwakar Ganjhu alias Pratap squad. The arrested Naxalites include Badal Ganjhu and Prince Jaiswal. A country-made pistol, two bullets, a mobile and a router have been recovered from them.

SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha told in a press conference on Tuesday that secret information was received that two Naxalites including Badal Ganjhu, an active member of the area commander Diwakar Ganjhu alias Pratap squad of TSPC organization, have come near the Shiva temple of Umedanda village under Budhmu police station and are calling some people near the Shiva temple for levy. After the information, a raid team was formed under the leadership of Khalari DSP.

As soon as the police team reached that place, both the Naxalites started running north from the temple. Both were chased and caught. The arrested Badal Ganjhu is wanted in several cases including extortion, possession of illegal weapons and attacking the police force in Barkagaon police station, Keredari police station of Hazaribagh district and Patratu police station areas of Ramgarh district. Prince Jaiswal is accused in the case of looting by stabbing in the year 2021 in Budhmu police station area and looting in the year 2023 and being caught with looted goods.
