Sirsa, 22 May (HIST). The cyber crime police station team of the district has collected important clues and arrested two more accused in the case of cyber fraud of Rs 30 lakh. On Wednesday, Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said that the arrested accused have been identified as Rahmat Ali son of Sher Khan, resident of Ward No. 16 and Deepak son of Rajendra Resident of Ward No. 4, Raisingh Nagar District Anupgarh, Rajasthan.
He said that both the arrested accused were produced in the court and one day police remand has been obtained. The Superintendent of Police said that during the remand period, the amount of fraud will be recovered on the information of both the accused and action will also be taken against them by obtaining information about other people associated with this network. Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said that three accused of this incident have already been arrested and an amount of about 9 lakh rupees of fraud has been recovered. Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said that in this regard, on the complaint of Amandeep resident Sector 20 Hooda, investigation was started by registering a case under various criminal sections on 31 July 2023.
He said that a special team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Jasvir Singh, in-charge of Cyber Crime Police Station, and the accused were arrested after gathering important clues. Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan said that investigation has revealed that the accused had deceived the victim Amandeep in the name of earning huge profits and he was cheated of about Rs 30 lakh in the name of completing the task through Telegram and WhatsApp.
The Superintendent of Police said that the district police is continuously making the general public aware to avoid cyber crimes. He has cautioned the general public not to fall into the trap of earning money through shortcuts and not to share their banking information with any other person under the influence of greed.
