Dumka, 15 February (Hindus). The court of Judicial Magistrate, First Class Vijay Kumar Yadav declared the illegal timber trader guilty on Thursday. The court has booked Hafiz Ansari, resident of Taljhari village of Devdad police station area of Godda district and Hussain Ansari, resident of Bansmundi village of Podaiyahat police station area, under Forest Department Act 33, 41, 42 and Section 414/34 of Bhadvi.
The court found him guilty under section 414/34 of Indian Penal Code and sentenced him to three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000. In case of non-payment of fine, he will have to undergo additional punishment of three months. Testimony of eight witnesses passed in the case. ASI Sudhir Kumar Thakur was representing the case.
