Two liquor contractors were shot dead in public on Thursday in Khedi Lakha Singh village of Radaur police station area of Yamunanagar district of Haryana. The notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang has taken the responsibility of this double murder. A post from an account named Noni Rana on Instagram read, “Jai Bajrang Bali, Ram-Ram to all brothers. I am Noni Rana. This murder has been committed by me, my brother Rohit Godara and Goldie Brar. They were interfering in our work. I tried to explain to him, but he did not agree. This will be the fate of those who side with our enemies. Those who survived will also have to die. Wait, the view ahead will be worth seeing.”
Police arrested two accused
The police have arrested two accused in this murder case. The arrested accused have been identified as Arbaaz of Tajewal village and Handa, resident of Chhachhrauli. After the murder, Yamunanagar Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajiv Deswal has taken major action in the case.
The punishment fell on the outpost employees
Despite there being a police post at a short distance from the incident spot, the SP considered it a matter of great negligence that the police did not arrive on time. Due to this lapse, 8 policemen including outpost incharge Nirmal Singh were suspended. The suspended policemen include ASI Surendra Singh, ASI Jasveer, Head Constable Krishna, Constables Gulab, Ravi and Dalveer. The new charge of the post has been handed over to SI Shamsher.
50 rounds fired, two killed, one injured
On Thursday, in Khedi Lakha Singh village, 5 masked miscreants riding on a bike opened fire on three youths. The three youths were sitting in their Scorpio car after doing exercise, when the attackers fired 50 rounds.
Virendra Kumar of Golani village in Yamunanagar and Pankaj Kumar of Baraut in Uttar Pradesh died in the attack. Arjun from Uhedi village of Yamunanagar was referred to PGI, Chandigarh in critical condition. These three youths were close to liquor businessman Monu Rana.
SP’s statement
Regarding the incident, SP Rajeev Deswal said, “It is very careless for such an incident to happen near a police post. Immediate action has been taken against the guilty policemen. “All aspects of the murder are being investigated and the arrest of the accused is underway.”
Panic due to gang war
There is an atmosphere of panic in Yamunanagar due to this murder. The open challenge of Lawrence Bishnoi gang and the negligence of the police have raised serious questions on the security system. The police are continuously conducting raids to get to the bottom of the matter and arrest other members associated with the gang.
