East Champaran, May 27 (HS). Criminals fired in the air and looted Rs 2.45 lakh from the staff of a CSP operator in Laukaria of Ghivadhar Panchayat of Harsiddhi police station area and fled. CSP operator Omprakash Ram said that his house is in ward number 15 of Manikpur Panchayat and he operates a CSP in Matiyaria.
He told that his staff Neeraj Kumar, a resident of Matiyari Kasba Tola, was returning to CSP Matiyari after withdrawing Rs. 2,45,000 from SBI Harsiddhi at 3:39 PM, when three criminals chasing him on a numberless Apache bike overtook him and stopped him near Pokhara in Laukaria and fired in the air and snatched the money from him. During this a scuffle took place between the employee Neeraj and the criminals, but they were three in number, due to which they succeeded in looting the money and after carrying out the robbery, they fled towards Areraj. Although Neeraj chased him for some distance, but the criminals managed to escape.
He has informed the police station in-charge Harsiddhi and the branch manager of SBI Harsiddhi branch about the incident. As soon as the information of the incident was received, DSP Ranjan Kumar, police station in-charge Naveen Kumar reached the spot with the police force and started the investigation.
