Two innocent children burnt alive due to fire in hut

Singrauli, 9 December (Hindustan Reporter). A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday. Here in Badgad village of Morwa police station area, two innocent children sleeping in a grass hut built in a field suddenly caught fire and were burnt to death. Two children aged 10 months and 3 years were burnt alive in the accident.

After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and sent both the bodies for post-mortem, but till now the reason as to how the fire broke out in the hut is not clear. At present, Morwa police station in-charge has said about investigation. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire area due to the incident.

According to the information, the husband and wife had gone to work on the fields with their two children at around 1 pm on Monday afternoon in village Badgad of Dudhamnia tehsil. Meanwhile, while the husband and wife were working in the fields, both the children got tired of playing and went to sleep in the hut. Then suddenly the hut caught fire and both the innocent children were burnt to death. As soon as the information was received, Morwa police station, Chitrangi SDM Suresh Jadav and Additional Collector also reached the spot. The names of the deceased children are Babulal (3 years) and Dauli (10 months). The police have removed the bodies of the children and sent them for post-mortem. How the fire broke out in the hut is being investigated. On getting information about the incident, people working in the nearby fields also reached there. In the entire matter, Morwa police station in-charge Kapoor Tripathi said, “The reason for the fire is not clear yet. The police team that reached the spot has conducted the Panchnama of the dead bodies.

The police team is investigating the incident. The reason behind this accident will become clear soon.

A temporary hut was built to look after the crops.

Sipahilal, father of the children, told that I had made a temporary hut out of wood in my barn to look after the crops. I was working in the fields in the afternoon. Both the children had brought food for me. After keeping the food, both of them fell asleep while playing. Meanwhile an accident happened. Before I could understand anything, both the children died due to burns in the fire.

ADM Pramod Sen Gupta said that the funeral amount of Rs 10,000 was immediately provided to the victim’s family. Apart from this, the process of sending relief amount of Rs 4 lakh each (total Rs 8 lakh) to the bank account of the victim’s family has been started.

After this accident, the father and mother of the children are in bad condition and crying, there is mourning in the entire village. The local people are deeply shocked by the incident. Villagers and officials made their presence felt to console the victim’s family. The administration has appealed to take precautions to prevent fire related incidents.
