Tarn Taran : Two days after the Shiromani Akali Dal expelled Adesh Pratap Singh Kairon from the primary membership of the party, senior Akali leader and Shiromani Committee member Bhai Manjit Singh Bhura Kohna has announced to break ties with the Badal family. He made this announcement by making a video viral on social media platforms, in which he described himself as cultured. He called the Akali Dal a hollow party and called it a mere show-off party. However, he has also made it clear in the video that he is distancing himself from the Badal family. Rather, he is leaving the Shiromani Akali Dal or the Shiromani Committee.

In the video, he is also heard saying that people who do not know the ins and outs of the Panth have surrounded Sukhbir Badal and whoever speaks the truth has been shown the way out of the party. He said that even at the time of insult, he had talked about the interests of the party and asked party president Sukhbir Singh Badal to apologize to Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Because the incident of blasphemy is related to Shiromani Akali Dal. But the party president did not even pay attention to his words and did not do so by listening to the people around him. He announced that he will now support Amritpal Singh from Khadoor Sahib constituency, Sarabjit Singh from Faridkot constituency and Jaskaran Singh Kahn Singh Wala from Ferozepur constituency.
