Two day session of Rajasthan History Congress concluded

Jodhpur, 7 December (Hindustan Reporter). The two-day ongoing 38th session of the Rajasthan History Congress, sponsored by the Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi and organized by the History Department of Jai Narayan Vyas University at the central office of Brihaspati Bhawan, concluded on Saturday.

Local Secretary and Head of Department Prof. (Dr.) Sushila Shaktawat said that historians, researchers and students from central universities, state universities and other colleges of the country participated in this national academic event in which three parallel technical sessions were conducted daily and more than two hundred researches were conducted. The letters were presented. Secretary of Rajasthan History Congress Prof. SP Vyas presented the report of the 37th session.

Former Vice Chancellor of Rewa University Madhya Pradesh, Prof. SN Yadav called for emphasis on writing history using oral historical sources. Dr. Omji Upadhyay, Member Secretary, Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi, while throwing light on the cultural history of India and Rajasthan in detail, stressed on teaching cultural history to students and increasing cultural research.

Dr. Upadhyay said in his address that in terms of strength, devotion, culture, bravery and bravery, beloved Rajasthan is at the forefront in India. Pro. VK. Vashishtha proposed the formation of Rajasthan Historical Research Council by the Rajasthan Government. In the presidential address, Prof. Vineeta Parihar laid analytical light on the works of various historians on the Prajamandal movements of Rajasthan and emphasized on presenting unbiased history to the future generations.

Pro. Kapil honored, book released

In the ceremony Prof. F.K Kapil was honored as a local historian. Associate Professor Dr. Rashmi Meena’s book Diverse Sources of History of Rajasthan was released. More than two hundred research papers were read in four parallel technical sessions. In the technical sessions, Prof. Manvendra Pundir Prof. Gopinath Sharma Memorial Lecture, Prof. KL Mathur Prof. RP Vyas Memorial Lecture and Prof. JK Ojha Prof. KS Gupta delivered the distinguished lecture. In the ceremony Prof. GSL Deora, Prof. Dilbagh Singh, Prof. JC Upadhyay, Prof. Historians, researchers and students from across the country including Shivkumar Bhanot participated.

Chief guest at the closing ceremony, Prof. Dilbagh Singh, special guest Dean of Faculty of Arts, Prof. Mangalaram and headed by Prof. Vinita Parihar did it. At the end of the program, Head of the Department and Local Secretary Prof. Sushila Shaktawat expressed gratitude to everyone. The program was conducted by Dr. Lalit Kumar Panwar.
