Two cyber fraudsters from Champaran who cheated for Rs 5 crore were arrested from Patna

East Champaran, June 25 (HS). Patna Police has arrested two cyber thugs from East and West Champaran. Both the accused have been identified as Nestak Alam, resident of Jaukatia, West Champaran and Isha Kumari, resident of Naurangia, East Champaran.

Isha studies B.Com, while Nestak has failed in sixth class. Both the accused have been arrested from Kadam Kuan police station area of ​​​​Patna district. Giving information about this, Cyber ​​​​Police Station Head Saddam Hussain has told on Tuesday that a case related to cyber fraud was registered on 3 November 2023. A team was formed to solve it. The team has arrested both the accused after a lot of investigation.

He told that investigation revealed that the criminal who cheated people through cyber crime has connections with two people from West and East Champaran. During the investigation of both of them, it was revealed that both of them have cheated people of more than 5 crores in the last 6 months. When the data was searched about the related allegations, it was revealed that both the accused provide passbook numbers to a resident of Multan living in Pakistan as well as more than a dozen Pakistanis. It also came to light that Isha and her companions have opened more than 100 accounts in State Bank and other banks by depositing Rs 10 to 15000.

SHO Saddam told that the concerned account number was made available to more than 15 people from Pakistan. People associated with cyber crime in Pakistan were sending an average of 2-3 lakh rupees to the account of both the accused every day for the last one year. After withdrawing their share of money, the money present in the account was sent to the people of Pakistan through cash deposit machine and other means. It also came to light that both of them had connection with Pakistani cyber criminals. Every day, there was a conversation on WhatsApp with many Pakistani cyber criminals from virtual mobile number.

He told that the police has got solid evidence of this. Both the accused were hiding in Patna. 16 ATM cards, 8 thousand cash, 6 mobiles, 6 SIMs, two rings of gold-like metal, a silver neck chain and a smart watch have been seized from both the accused who are residents of East and West Champaran.
