Deoghar, 08 April (HS). The SIT team formed under the leadership of SP Rakesh Ranjan has arrested two miscreants who had come to extort extortion on Monday. Police have recovered a country-made pistol, one bullet and two mobile phones from them.
According to the police, secret information was received that the gang members of Baba Parihast (deceased) Shivashish Kashyap alias Shibu Mishra, Nirmal Rai, Vishal Parihast and Rahul Mishra were demanding extortion from businessmen, contractors and shopkeepers by showing pistols on the roadside near Ranga Mod. On information, the SIT team formed under the leadership of SP Rakesh Ranjan took immediate action and arrested Vishal Parihast and Rahul Mishra. A country-made pistol with a bullet loaded in it was recovered and confiscated. An FIR has been registered in the case under various sections of IPC and Arms Act in Town Police Station (Case No. 218/2024).
