Houses collapsed in Uttar Pradesh: A major accident has happened in Varanasi district of Uttar Pradesh. Two houses collapsed late night near Kashi Vishwanath temple. Many people are buried under the rubble. At present, relief and rescue work is going on by NDRF and local authorities.

According to reports, the incident took place in Chowk police station area of ​​Varanasi. Two 70-year-old houses suddenly collapsed here. A team of local police and NDRF immediately reached the spot and started rescue operations. Many people have been rescued from the debris and rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment, including a seriously injured constable, who has been admitted to the divisional hospital in Kabirchaura. Apart from this, a woman police officer posted on duty at Vishwanath temple has also been seriously injured.

After the incident, Gate No. 4 leading to the temple has been closed, while entry is being allowed from Gate No. 1 and 2. Due to security reasons, the officials present at the spot have also stopped media personnel from entering. Rescue work is still going on. These houses collapsed around 4 am. This area falls in the yellow zone. These houses were already in a dilapidated condition. Still people lived in these houses.
