Deoria, 22 August (HS). Bhaluani police arrested two people on Thursday with hashish and brown sugar worth Rs 1 crore 15 lakh and sent them to court.
Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma said that on the information of an informer, Bhaluani police arrested Abhishek Kumar Chaturvedi son of Lallan Chaturvedi resident of Santhi police station Raghunathpur district Siwan (Bihar) and Amritash Singh alias Sunny Singh son of late Yogeshwar Singh resident of Narendrapur police station Andar district Siwan (Bihar) from a Scorpio vehicle near village Karamtar Ganga turn. 6.4 kg of hashish and 440 grams of brown sugar were recovered from them. The estimated cost of the recovered hashish is Rs 65 lakh and the estimated cost of the recovered brown sugar is Rs 50 lakh.
The police team is taking action by arresting the accused and seizing the recovered hashish and brown sugar. The arresting team included Inspector-in-charge Ramagya Singh, Sub-Inspector Avinash Maurya etc.
