Superintendent of Police Dr Anil Kumar told in a press conference on Wednesday that a petrol pump was robbed of lakhs of rupees late on Tuesday night. A case was also registered in this matter by the salesman of the petrol pump. He told that the plaintiff in the robbery incident himself fabricated a false story of robbery of Rs 2 lakh 72 thousand and carried out the incident. Manager Rahul Tiwari and salesman Sachin Mishra have been arrested.
During interrogation, it was revealed that out of the collection amount of Rs. 2.72 lakh, Rs. 1.47 lakh was invested in the online game Dream, in which they lost. They paid the remaining amount online to their acquaintances. Police recovered Rs. 1.25 lakh and Rs. 460 from these people. While arresting the accused and sending them to jail, a cash reward of Rs. 25 thousand has been announced for the team that exposed the matter.
