Ranchi, July 11 (HS). The Budhmu police station has solved the kidnapping and murder case within 12 hours and arrested two criminals. The arrested criminals include Jagdish Munda and Krishna Mahato.
The bike used in the incident has been recovered from them.
Rural SP Sumit Kumar Agarwal told in a press conference on Thursday that on the night of July 10, at around 01.15, Somnath Mahato, a resident of Bedwari village, came to the police station and said that his nephew Ajay Mahato had been kidnapped. Somnath Mahato said that Ajay had gone to Jagdish Munda's house in Ojhasadam with his friend, after which Ajay's friend Vicky Sahu came home and told that Jagdish Munda along with one of his companions forcefully took Ajay Mahato with him on his motorcycle from Ojhasadam and made us run away.
SP said that in view of the seriousness of the case, investigation of the case was started under the leadership of Khalari DSP Ramnarayan Chaudhary. During the investigation, the FIR accused Jagdish Munda and his friend Krishna Mahato were arrested and strictly interrogated, they accepted their involvement in the incident and told that we kidnapped Ajay Mahato from Ojhasadam and killed him in the forest near Jikra Falls. The body of the deceased was recovered on the information given by the arrested accused. The arrested accused told the reason for the incident that the deceased Ajay Mahato used to harass his wife a lot and threatened to kill all of us in the family, due to which we were very upset. The arrested accused were sent to judicial custody in the case.
