An attempt was made to overturn the train by placing a 4 feet iron rod on the track near Kundli of Botad. Botad police, which is investigating the case, has arrested 2 accused from Alav village of Ranpur.
Giving information about this, SP of Botad said that the Okha-Bhavnagar train was going to Ranpur Chowki area. During this time someone had placed a 4 feet iron rod between the railway tracks. Therefore, when the piece hit the train engine, the train stopped. Due to which the lives of the passengers were saved.
In this case, the police have arrested Ramesh Saliya (55) and Jayesh Bavaliya (24) from Alav village of Ranpur. Both the accused had conspired to rob the train after watching a video on YouTube.
During police interrogation, both the accused admitted that they were financially ruined. Therefore, to repay the debt, a complete plan was made to rob the passengers thrown from the compartment after the train overturned. At present, the police have arrested both the accused and are taking further legal action.
