Palamu, 27 November (Hindustan Reporter). Hussainabad police of the district has arrested two thieves who stole expensive mobile phones and sold them at cheap rates in trains and surrounding areas. 23 Android mobile phones have been recovered from them. Both were arrested and sent to judicial custody on Wednesday afternoon.
The accused have been identified as Upendra Kumar Mehta (36) and Ashok Paswan (26), residents of Devrikhurd Hussainabad. Hussainabad’s Deori OP in-charge Bablu Kumar received secret information that Upendra Kumar Mehta was stealing mobile phones from nearby areas and various trains and selling them at cheap rates. Presently his location was found at his house. It was also learned that he still had several stolen mobile phones. In the light of the information, action was taken by forming a team and Upendra was caught from his house. 18 Android mobiles were recovered from him.
On the behest of Upendra, the house of his associate Ashok Paswan was also raided, from where five stolen Android mobiles were recovered. Both were arrested. A case was registered in this regard and both were sent to judicial custody.
