Araria, November 26 (HS). Araria District Police arrested two notorious criminals with weapons. Jitendra Rathore and Rakesh Kumar, who were going to commit the crime, were arrested with a country-made pistol and four cartridges. SP Amit Ranjan gave this information in a press conference held in his office on Tuesday.
SP Amit Ranjan said that the police had received information that there was a gathering of criminals with weapons to commit criminal crimes in Bossi area, for whose verification a special team was formed under the leadership of Sadar SDPO Rampukar Singh. An intensive vehicle checking campaign was conducted by the team. In this sequence, two people riding on an e-rickshaw were checked near Vinodpur turn of Bossi and among them, notorious criminal Jitendra was found. Rathore and Rakesh Kumar Sah were arrested with two country-made pistols, four bullets and a mobile phone. Police have also seized the e-rickshaw.
SP said that Jitendra Rathore is a notorious criminal. A case of murder, robbery and Arms Act has been registered against him in Tarabari, Kursakanta and Bossi police stations in the district. A permanent warrant was issued against him from the court. The other arrested was his associate Rakesh Kumar Sah. Criminal histories are being checked.
