Lakhimpur Kheri, September 26 (HS). The court has sentenced two accused to five years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of seven thousand rupees each after being found guilty under the POCSO Act in a molestation case.
Advocate Brijesh Kumar Pandey of Special Public Prosecution POCSO Court told on Thursday that during the hearing of case crime number 125/2015 under section 7/8 POCSO under Nighasan police station area, accused Balram Singh and Manoj Singh have been convicted on the basis of testimony and evidence of the victim and 6 other witnesses, including a woman constable and investigation. The court has sentenced both the accused to five years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 7000 each. Judge Rahul Singh I has also ordered to give Rs 10,000 to the victim as compensation.
