Two accused sentenced to 10 years in prison for culpable homicide not amounting to murder


Jaunpur, July 10 (HS). Additional Sessions Judge First Anil Kumar Yadav on Wednesday sentenced Rajkumar Dubey and Neeraj Dubey, guilty of culpable homicide eight years ago in Baderi village of Barsathi police station area, to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of ten thousand rupees.
It is worth mentioning that the plaintiff Rajkumar Prajapati had lodged an FIR in Barsathi police station. On 23 January 2016 at 8:30 am, the plaintiff's nephew Rajan was cutting wood of vilayati acacia for bonfire. Then Meera Devi came and started abusing the nephew. At the same time, the accused Neeraj, Rajkumar and Rakesh also reached there and started abusing the nephew.

Plaintiff's father Shiva Adhar was returning after a morning walk. He stopped the accused from abusing. On Meera's provocation, Rakesh and Rajkumar held the plaintiff's father's hand and Neeraj hit him on the head from behind with a brick, due to which the plaintiff's father fell down. He later died. The police investigated and filed the case diary in the court. Government lawyer Sanjay Shrivastav got the witnesses examined in the court. The court found Rajkumar and Neeraj guilty and sentenced them to ten years of rigorous imprisonment.
