Two accused sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment in Firozabad's murderous assault case – News India Live | News India

Firozabad, September 18 (HS). A special court of the district on Wednesday sentenced two accused in a murderous attack case to 10 years of imprisonment each. A fine of Rs 20500 has also been imposed on each accused. If the fine is not paid, they will have to undergo additional punishment.

The court of Additional Sessions Judge (Special POCSO Court No. 1) Awadhesh Kumar Singh of the district pronounced this verdict. According to the prosecution, on 7 April 2017, the youth of the village beat up Mahendra Singh son of Mangali Prasad, resident of Pamari of police station Pachokhara, over money transaction, and tried to kill him by strangulating him. Later, he was thrown into the well. On the next day, on 8 April, when Mahendra Singh's nephew Rajkumar came to know about it, he reached there and with the help of people, pulled out his uncle from the well. After regaining consciousness, the uncle told his story. Rajkumar son of Giriraj filed a case of murderous attack against Sunny son of Suresh Chandra alias Bhanu and Mukesh son of Udayveer, resident of Pamari. After investigation, the police filed a chargesheet against both of them in the court.

Special Public Prosecutor Aravesh Kumar Shukla argued the case on behalf of the prosecution. Shukla said that many witnesses testified during the trial. Many evidences were presented before the court. On the basis of the testimony of the witnesses and evidence, the court held Sunny and Mukesh guilty. The court sentenced both of them to 10 years of imprisonment each.
