Jagdalpur, 27 September (Hindustan Reporter). Nagarnar police of the district have seized 251 kg of ganja from a Fortuner car and arrested two accused. Both the accused were presented in the court today on Friday and sent on judicial remand.
Nagarnar police received information from the informer that two persons were coming towards Jagdalpur via Machkot forest in a white colored Fortuner car number HR 20 AD 0059, carrying illegal drug ganja. On information, Hamrah stop reached near village Machkot Chowk and blocked it. After some time, a white Fortuner car of the above number was seen coming, which was stopped and during investigation, 251.500 kg of narcotic ganja was recovered and the accused Naveen Kumar Sammy, father of Seth Singh, was in the car. Sammy resident of Haryana and Yogesh Kumar Punia, father Maman Singh Punia resident of Haryana were arrested.
Since the act of the arrested accused was found to be a crime under Section 20 (b) ii (c) of the NDPS Act, FIR No. 175/24 Sadar was registered against the accused and after action, they were produced before the court on judicial remand on Friday.
