Two accused of stealing jewellery arrested, sent to jail

Koderma, 9 August (HS). Two accused of fraudulently stealing jewelry in Satgawan of the district were arrested and sent to jail on Friday. In this regard, police station in-charge Vijay Kumar Gupta said that Pankaj Singh, a resident of Marchoi, had lodged a case against three unknown persons in Satgawan police station against the accused who had cheated him of jewelry and money.

In this case, primary accused Mohammad Shamshad (31) and Mohammad Chunnu Alam (44) both residents of Takiyapar police station Bundelkhand Nawada were arrested and sent to jail within 24 hours. Police station in-charge Vijay Gupta said that the raiding team included police sub-inspector Roshan Kumar Paswan, constable Ashok Kumar, constable Pawan Kumar, driver Mohammad Shahwaz and others. Satgawan police has arrested the uncle-nephew duo who cheated jewelers by pretending to cure filariasis by disguising themselves as a tantrik. Gold merchant Vicky Kumar was accused of buying gold jewelry worth about 15 lakh rupees by cheating. The thug was committing the crime of cheating by posing as a tantrik while staying in a rented house in Azad Nagar Takiyapar locality of Nawada city.
