Moradabad, May 20 (HS). The court of Special Judge POCSO Court Number-2 on Monday found the accused guilty in the rape case that took place two years ago in Pakbada area of ​​the district and sentenced him to 20 years of imprisonment. A fine of Rs 12 thousand has also been imposed on him.

A case was filed by a 17-year-old girl at Pakbada police station on 22 May 2022. In this she had told that Vivek alias Omkar, a resident of Maudha Tayya of Pakbada, used to stop her on the way and molest her. Used to pressurize him to talk. On March 8, 2020, Vivek alias Omkar raped the girl. After this, he continued raping the father and his brother while threatening to kill them. Vivek had called him again on 22 May. When the victim refused, she was beaten. In this case, the police had arrested the accused and sent him to jail. Its case was heard in the court of Special Judge POCSO Court No. 2 Shailendra Verma of Moradabad.

In the Special Judge POCSO Court, Special Public Prosecutor Abhishek Bhatnagar and Bhukan Singh told that in this case, the defense side had told the court that a false case was filed due to village rivalry, but they could not prove this. The victim presented strong evidence against the accused Vivek alias Omkar in the court, which was also proved. The court found the accused youth guilty and sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 12,000 on him.
