On Monday night, Third Conference Presentation Committee (TSPC) militants beat up five villagers in the Naxal affected area of Sailaya Khurd village of Naudiha Bazar block of the district. This incident was carried out due to mutual dispute. Police is taking action in the matter. The operation against militants has been intensified. A case was registered in this regard on Tuesday.
In Palamu, the banned militant organization TSPC has beaten up villagers in a personal rivalry. The incident took place in Sailaya Khurd village of Naudih Bazaar police station area of Palamu district. Five people were injured in the fight. They were admitted to the local hospital for treatment. After treatment, all the villagers have returned to their homes. After getting information about the incident, the police have started a search operation in the area. Villagers said that the incident took place on Monday night at around 9 o'clock. TSPC fled after beating the villagers.
Villagers told that a person named Jitendra Singh, resident of Sailaya Khurd village, has recently joined the militant squad. The injured people include Lallu Singh and his sons Shriram Singh and Ravi Ranjan and nephew Jitendra Singh and Prem Shankar Singh of the village. The injured people had an old dispute with Jitendra Singh. Chhatarpur police got all the injured treated at the sub-divisional hospital.
Superintendent of Police Rishma Ramesan said that the beating took place over a mutual dispute. Jitendra Singh has joined the squad to present the third conference of the militant organization just a few days ago. After getting information about the incident, Naudiha Bazar police reached the spot and are investigating the matter. Based on the statement of the victim villagers, an FIR was registered against TSPC's Nagina, Gautam, Jitendra and other militants at Naudiha Bazar police station.
According to the SP's conversation with the victim and the people nearby, he said that the idea of beating people for voting is wrong. In polling station number 279 of Salaiya Khurd, 659 voters have voted, which is 68.02 percent. He also said that if it was a voting issue then why would only one family be targeted. There is no Maoist squad roaming in this area, nor were any Naxalite organization asking the villagers to boycott voting in the said area, nor were posters put up. It is also wrong to talk about assaulting women, because all the injured people are male members. In this regard, investigation is being done by registering case number 26/2024 under sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 325, 307 IPC and 17 CLA Act.
