How to make Farali Dahi Vada

  • – First of all, take one cup of sama rice, 1/4 cup of sago and grind it in the mixer.
  • – Now fry this mixture on medium flame for 3-4 minutes.
  • – Now take out this mixture in a separate vessel to cool and keep it aside.
  • – Now add finely chopped green chillies and grated ginger.
  • – Now add 2 spoons of oil in a pan and when the oil becomes hot, add green chilli and ginger in it.
  • When it is roasted, add roasted safflower mixture and rock salt to it.
  • – Add twice as much water as soap powder and keep stirring while mixing well.
  • Meanwhile keep the flame low. Otherwise the mixture may become lumpy.
  • When the mixture is mixed well, increase the flame to medium high and keep stirring continuously so that the mixture does not stick to the bottom.
  • Soon the mixture will start thickening.
  • When the mixture becomes thick enough to make vada, turn off the gas.
  • – Now take out this mixture in a plate.
  • When the mixture cools down, grate the boiled potatoes and add it to the mixture.
  • Apply oil to your hands and rub the mixture with your hands to mix it well.
  • Keep in mind that it is important to grind this mixture well.
  • If the mixture is not mashed properly, the curd will not have a soft tip.
  • – After applying oil on your hands, take a little mixture in your hands and make a ball out of it.
  • Make all the heads in the same manner and keep them aside.
  • – Now put oil in a pan on the gas and fry the head on medium flame.
  • Do not move your head immediately after putting it in the oil. Because doing so may cause your head to explode.
  • When the vada starts floating in the oil on its own, turn it and fry until it turns golden.
  • After this, when you feel like eating vada, soak it in water for five minutes.
  • Apart from this, mash the curd and add rock salt and sugar to it and mix.
  • Take out the head from the water and keep it in a plate.
  • – Add curd, tamarind chutney, roasted cumin, red chilli powder, rock salt and chopped coriander and serve vada.
