Brinjal Sambar Recipe: Brinjal Sambar is a traditional South Indian dish. Which is made from a mixture of brinjal, lentils and sambar spices. You must have eaten brinjal saak, brinjal bhartu and stuffed brinjal saak. Today we will see the recipe for making brinjal sambar sand.
Ingredients to make Brinjal Sambar:
- 2 medium sized brinjals
- 1 cup toor dal
- 2 cups water
- 1 medium sized onion
- 2 medium sized tomatoes
- 1 green chilli
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tsp sambar masala
- 2 teaspoons green coriander
How to make Brinjal Sambar
- Wash the brinjal thoroughly and cut it.
- Wash and soak toor dal.
- Add chopped onion, chilli paste, tomato, turmeric, salt, soaked lentils, chopped ringan and water in the cooker and boil.
- – Now open the lid of the vessel and add sambar masala, red chilli powder, sour tamarind water into it.
- – Now take oil in a pan. – Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, sweet neem leaves, red dry chilli and mix. – Then add this paste to boiling lentils. – Add chopped coriander to it and serve hot.
