In politics, not everything is said clearly, most things are said in hints. A similar picture is being seen in Uttar Pradesh BJP these days. Whatever is going on inside the party is giving big indications. Keshav Maurya's changed attitude and CM Yogi's action mode is saying a lot.
As soon as BJP was reduced to 33 seats in UP in the Lok Sabha elections, the entire party got tensed. Hundreds of meetings have been held from Lucknow to Delhi. The defeat has been discussed dozens of times. Why has the condition of BJP become like this in UP? Has the organization of BJP become weak in UP? Or the work of the Yogi government was not visible at the ground level? It is being said that a review is being done regarding these reasons for the defeat. Regarding this, CM Yogi has also met about 100 MLAs in 10 days.
The CM is holding action mode meetings with ministers, MPs and MLAs of different divisions one after the other. Till now CM Yogi's convoy has been going everywhere. But, for the first time, vehicles of public representatives have started arriving continuously at the Chief Minister's residence at 5 Kalidas Marg in Lucknow. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh first meets the MPs and MLAs of Moradabad division. Then he talks to the MPs and MLAs of Meerut division. Yogi also called the MPs and MLAs of Bareilly division and held a meeting.
On Thursday evening, Yogi had a meeting with BJP leaders of Prayagraj division. Keshav Prasad Maurya comes from Prayagraj division. He did not come to this meeting either. On Friday, the CM had called a meeting of Lucknow division but Keshav Prasad Maurya did not come. BJP state president Bhupendra Chaudhary stayed away from the Moradabad division meeting. Now it has come to light that the other deputy CM Brajesh Pathak was also not present in the Lucknow division meeting because he was going to Delhi.
MLA is upset, officer is unbridled
There are 18 divisions in UP. Meetings of all divisions have been held except Varanasi. In these, the Chief Minister wants to know why the votes decreased. Along with this, he has asked the public representatives to spend more time among the public. At the same time, MLAs and MPs complain about the bureaucracy of their respective areas going out of control. In every meeting, some MLA or the other raises the issue in front of CM Yogi that the officers do not listen to them.
MLA from Ghaziabad's Loni Nand Kishore Gurjar said something similar after coming out of a meeting. He said, if the Chief Minister asks for proof against the officers, then the MLA's statement should be enough. We will leave our work of serving the public and strengthening the party, and roam around with cameras and say that this officer is doing corruption. We will give proof of this or the workers will join this work. If the MLA is saying that people are coming to him, then everyone knows about the officer whether he is dishonest or honest. If he does not do the right work and the MLA is saying that people told that so much money was taken from them or some letter was given, if the MLA writes a letter on it, then action should be taken against that officer.
Recently, there are more than a dozen such MLAs or BJP leaders, including BJP candidate from Jaunpur Kripashankar Singh, MLA from Bulandshahr Pradeep Chaudhary, Moti Singh who was a minister in Yogiraj Part One, Subrat Pathak who lost from Kannauj, MLA from Mirzapur Ratnakar Mishra and MLA from Varanasi Tribhuvan Ram, who have complained against the officials.
Is everything not well in the party?
On Tuesday morning, CM Yogi reviewed the Meerut division. In the evening, it was the turn of Prayagraj division. Everyone's eyes were on whether Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya would attend it or not, but the answer to all the questions was that despite being in Lucknow, Keshav did not come for the divisional review. Many MLAs including Nand Gopal Nandi, former minister Siddharth Nath Singh, MLC Surendra Chaudhary, MLA Harsh Bajpai were present in this meeting, but Keshav's absence was the biggest topic of discussion. However, Maurya was in Lucknow. He kept meeting party MLAs, ministers and MPs throughout the day. Kept posting photos on social media but did not go to the meeting called by Yogi. At the same time, the CM also expressed his intentions by meeting Sirathu MLA Pallavi Patel.
Meeting of CM and Pallavi Patel
The meeting between the CM and Pallavi Patel lasted for about half an hour. What was discussed during this time has not been revealed yet, but Pallavi is the same leader who defeated Maurya from Sirathu assembly seat by 12000 votes in the 2022 assembly elections. Many political meanings are being drawn from Pallavi Patel's meeting with the Chief Minister. Pallavi was elected MLA on the Samajwadi Party ticket and she is the leader of Apna Dal Kamra Wadi, but due to bad relations with Akhilesh Yadav, Pallavi Patel contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with Owaisi. Now that Yogi has met Pallavi, it is being said that whether this meeting took place because Pallavi defeated Keshav Prasad Maurya in the 2022 elections and is she going to join BJP now.
In politics, not everything is said clearly, most things are said in hints. There are indications that Keshav's attitude seems to have changed. First, he took a dig at the Chief Minister in the party's organisational meeting. Then he publicised it widely in the name of the organisation and workers. Keshav was called to Delhi but after reaching Lucknow, he met many leaders one after the other.
