Mumbai: Trupti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi's 'Dhadak 2' will release on February 21 instead of November. Two films 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' and 'Singham Again' are going to be released in the first week of November. If these films run for a long time then the prospects of 'Dhadak 2' at the box office may be adversely affected. Therefore producer Karan Johar has taken this decision.
However, now 'Dhadak 2' will clash with Ajay Devgan's 'Raid 2', hence avoiding the influence of one of Ajay Devgan's films, it will clash with Ajay Devgan's other film.
'Dhadak 2' is also a remake of the original Tamil film 'Periyarum Perumal'. Earlier in 2018, Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar's debut film 'Dhadak' was also a remake of the original Marathi 'Sairat'.
Karan Johar made the film 'Dhadak' more glamorous and light-hearted and the class struggle and honor killings which were talked about passionately in 'Sairat', did not have that much impact in 'Dhadak'. Karan Johar was criticized a lot on this issue. Karan Johar had then claimed that in 'Dhadak 2' he would stick to the story and treatment of the original Tamil film and would not dilute it at all.
This is an important phase of career for Tripti. After starting with 'Animal', his success graph is continuously going up. Currently, her 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' is performing better than Alia Bhatt's 'Jigra' in theatres. Now her 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' with Kartik Aryan is going to be released in November.
