Trump is having trouble repaying $46.4 million bond to settle civil fraud case

New York: Former US President Donald Trump is having great difficulty paying a $464 million bond to settle a civil fraud case, his lawyer told a new appellate court.

It is noteworthy that in February, Judge Arthur Engron had imposed a total fine of $ 464 million on Trump and his companies in a civil fraud case. The order also asked Trump to pay interest.

The court has also banned Trump from leading any company in New York for three years. His sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump were also fined $4 million and banned for two years.

According to Alan Garton, General Counsel of the Trump Organization, Trump is facing a lot of difficulties in obtaining a bond worth $464 million. Trump would have to use his real estate as collateral for the bonds.

However, according to his lawyer, no bond providers willing to accept real estate as collateral have contacted Trump so far.
