Yamuna Nagar Highway collapsed: A truck going from Uttar Pradesh to Punjab fell into a huge ditch due to a landslide on the highway near Golanpur village of Yamuna Nagar in Haryana. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the accident. But the highway has been exposed due to heavy rains.
A large portion of the highway collapsed
Regarding this incident, highway officials said that a large part of the highway collapsed due to soil sliding from under the road. Traffic has been diverted after the incident. Also, fortunately, no Kawadia was harmed during the Kavad Yatra.
Demand for thorough investigation and appropriate action
Regarding this accident, farmer leader Mandeep Road Chhappar said, 'There has been corruption in the construction of the highway. Roads are made of ashes instead of soil. Due to which the roads are becoming weak and accidents are happening.'
The farmer leader specifically mentioned the Yamunanagar-Ponta Sahib highway and said that ash is used in highway construction there too. He has been asked to investigate the matter thoroughly and take appropriate action.
