Truck hits bus going from Ranchi to Ayodhya, one dead, eight injured

A tourist bus going from Ranchi to Ayodhya was hit by a truck from behind at 7 am on Saturday morning near Pali Mohalla on the National Highway in Dehri Nagar police station area of ​​Rohtas district in Bihar, due to which one person died and eight were injured.

Five injured are undergoing treatment at the local sub-divisional hospital. Three seriously injured passengers have been sent to Sasaram Sadar Hospital. According to the passengers, the tourist bus (JH 01 BA 1730) going from Ranchi to Ayodhya Darshan broke down at four in the morning, which was repaired at around seven o'clock. Passengers were boarding the bus to depart. Meanwhile, the driver of an uncontrolled truck (JH2 AG 6422) hit the bus from behind, killing one person standing in front of the bus while eight passengers were injured.

The deceased, 70-year-old Khedan Bhagat, was a resident of Thakur village in Ranchi district of Jharkhand. The local police reached the spot after getting information and sent all the injured to the hospital. Among the seriously injured, three Baneshwar Sao (70) of Amtand police station, Lakshman Oraon (30) of village Sahrul, Ranchi and Alakh Niranjan (28) of village Nimi, police station Shekhpur Sarai district Shekhpura have been sent to Sasaram Sadar Hospital. The other five injured are undergoing treatment at the local sub-divisional hospital. These include Kunti Devi, Haratand police station Doranda Ranchi, Anita Devi, Rajesh Sahu, Sarita Devi, all three villages Harmu police station Ranchi, Malti Devi village Chutiya Ranchi.
