Troubles rise for former Andhra Pradesh CM, murder case filed, MLA makes serious allegations

FIR against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to be in big trouble. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against Youth Workers Raithu Congress Party (YSRC) chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. Apart from Jagan Mohan Reddy, a case has also been registered against four others, including two IPS officers and two retired officers.

The case was registered on the complaint of the TDP MLA

The case has been registered on the complaint of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Raghurama Krishna Raju. Apart from Reddy, IPS officer PV Sunil Kumar, PSR Sitaramjanyulu, retired police officer R. Vijay Paul and Guntur District Hospital Superintendent Rahi G. Prabhavati are also named. The case has been registered at Nagarpalam police station in Guntur district.

Raju had sent a complaint via e-mail a month ago

A police officer said that MLA Raju had sent a complaint through e-mail a month ago. Legal opinion was taken in this regard. After this, a case has been registered against the former Chief Minister and others at 7 pm on Thursday (11 July). Raghuram Krishna Raju has accused the former Chief Minister and senior officials of hatching a criminal conspiracy against him. Apart from this, senior IPS officers Sunil Kumar and Sitaramanjaneyulu, police officer Vijaya Paul and government doctor G. Prabhavati are also accused of being involved in this conspiracy.

Raju has made this allegation in his complaint

Raju has alleged in the complaint that, 'The CBCID of the Andhra Pradesh government has registered a false case against me. On May 14, 2021, I was arrested without any due process, threatened, illegally detained in a police vehicle. I was forcibly taken to Guntur.' Let us tell you that the TDP MLA was arrested during the second wave of Kovid-19.

Police have registered a case against the accused under various sections.

Raju also alleged that he was tortured in custody. Police have registered a case against the five accused under sections 120B, 166, 167, 197, 307, 326, 465 and 506 along with section 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Since the case is three years old, the police have registered a case under the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The issue of arrest of TDP leader Raju in Andhra Pradesh in 2021 came to the fore when he filed a complaint against Reddy and some officials on June 11.
