Due to the opening of a liquor vend near Heer Palace in Malroad under Cantt police station area, nearby shopkeepers and coaching operators started protesting. The matter escalated so much that people started protesting sitting on the streets. As soon as the information was received, ACP Cantt Anjali Vishwakarma and other police forces reached the spot and started quelling the matter. ACM and Excise Department officials also reached the spot. Everyone talked to the local people and inquired about how many educational institutions are there in the vicinity. Also understood the problems of male and female students.
In fact, where the contract is open, there are many coaching centers as well as offices nearby where there is a danger of spoiling the environment. Everyone gathered and protested strongly regarding this. While talking to the media, ACP Cantt Anjali Vishwakarma said that people from nearby areas had demonstrated regarding the model shop, about which everyone has been explained. Their views have been conveyed to the District Magistrate and Police Commissioner through memorandum or other complaint. There is no problem of law and order at present and the matter will also be resolved soon.
