Trouble due to storm and rain in Delhi, roof of four-storey house fell on neighbor's house; Eight including six minors injured

New Delhi: The wall of a house collapsed due to storm and rain on Tuesday evening in Khirki Extension of Malviya Nagar. Eight people, including six minors, were injured in its collapse. The injured have been admitted to hospital. Everyone is out of danger.

South District DCP Ankit Chauhan said that at around 6 pm, information was received that the wall of a house in Khirki Extension of Malviya Nagar had collapsed. Many people got buried under it. As soon as the information was received, the police was immediately sent to the spot. By then everyone was taken out of the debris and taken to the nearest hospital.

Fourth floor wall collapsed

Deputy Commissioner of Police said that there is a four-storey house in Khirki Extension. There is a four-inch wall all around on the upper floor of the house. Suddenly in the evening, due to strong wind and rain, a part of the wall collapsed.

Because of this, some children and their family members were sitting on the roof of another house adjacent to the building. The debris of the wall fell on them. Due to this he suffered injuries on his head and hands. Everyone was admitted to the hospital by their family members. Fortunately, he suffered minor injuries in the accident.

Four injured were discharged

Four injured were discharged after first aid. Others are also undergoing treatment. Preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that this house is in the name of someone Qasim. The police did not find him on the spot. The police is searching for him. The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that if any complaint is received regarding the matter, further action will be taken.
