Trinamool will complain to the Election Commission against NCW President Rekha Sharma

Kolkata, May 10 (HS). Trinamool Congress on Friday said it will file a complaint against National Commission for Women (NCW) Chairperson Rekha Sharma with the Election Commission (EC) for misuse of her position. The party said he is one of the key conspirators in the Sandeshkhali case.

“Many women have alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders duped them into filing sexual harassment complaints against Trinamool leaders,” the party said.

The NCW had recommended to President Draupadi Murmu that President's rule be imposed in West Bengal over the alleged violence and atrocities on women in Sandeshkhali.

West Bengal minister and party spokesperson Shashi Panja on Friday warned of filing a complaint against Sharma in the Election Commission. Panja alleged that the NCW chief acted under political bias in the allegations related to Sandeshkhali and encouraged women from the area to make false allegations of sexual harassment.
