Tribute will be paid to the martyrs of the freedom struggle on 26th February

Fatehpur, 24 February (HS). During the freedom struggle movement run by the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, during the movement against revenue collection, the farmers of Nonara village of Bindki tehsil of the district, influenced by Mahatma Gandhi, came to the village to collect revenue on 26 February 1931 and informed the Tehsildar for this. He was beaten to death because he had abused the farmers during revenue collection. The heat of this incident spread throughout the country. Later, farmer Shivnarayan was martyred due to the brutality of the British. Also, a case of murder was registered against 92 people. Martyr Memorial tribute is given every year to remember the martyrdom of Martyr Shivnarayan.

During the freedom movement, Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was running a revenue ban campaign. During this time, the farmers of Amauli Block Nonara village refused to pay rent to Mohammad Ibrahim, the landlord of Koda Jehanabad. With this information, the then Tehsildar of Khajuha, Avadh Bihari Srivastava, reached Nonara village on 26 February 1931. After reaching there, he started insulting the farmers who refused to pay the tax. Angered by this, Shivnarayan of the village challenged his son Dulare. On this Dulare attacked the Tehsildar. When the Tehsildar ran away on a horse to save his life, Mishrilal of the village hit the horse's leg with a stick due to which the horse got injured and fell down. After this the Tehsildar ran away from the fields to save his life. The villagers surrounded the Tehsildar and beat him to death with sticks. Meanwhile, farmer Shivnarayan was shot by the Tehsildar's bodyguards and died.

A case of murder was registered against 92 people in the case of murder of Tehsildar in the village. In this, Dulare and Chhotalal Uttam were sentenced to death and 17 people were sentenced to life imprisonment. After the death sentence, Dulare was hanged on 3 April 1932 in Jail Malaka, Allahabad, after 14 months of solitary confinement, while Chhotalal Uttam's death sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment by the High Court.

Revolutionary Dulare's elder nephew Vishambhar Nath Tiwari said that in the year 1937, many people had escaped punishment by terming this case as political. Ram Kishore Tiwari, nephew of revolutionary Dulare, said that till now every year on January 30, there was a program to pay tribute to the heroes of the freedom struggle at the martyr memorial site built in the village. But for the past two years, on 26th February, the date of the incident of revenue collection, a program of offering water tribute to the revolutionaries has been organized in the memory of the revolutionaries at the martyr memorial site.
