Saharsa/Madhepura, 24 February (HS). Former Vice-Chancellor of Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Lalunagar, Madhepura and former State Vice President of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Prof. For the peace of the soul of (Dr.) Amarnath Sinha, a tribute meeting was organized at Thakur Prasad Mahavidyalaya, Madhepura on Saturday.
On this occasion, former Vice President of the Council and Head of the Department of Ancient History, Prof. Lalan Prasad Adri said that Prof. Amarnath Sinha was the eleventh Vice Chancellor of the university. His tenure was from August 2, 2001 to August 1, 2004. He played an important role in getting the university recognized by UGC under 2(F) and 12(B).
Principal Prof. Kailash Prasad Yadav said that Prof. Amarnath Sinha was very knowledgeable about rules and regulations. His tenure was the golden period of the university. City President Dr. Sudhanshu Shekhar said that Prof. Amarnath Sinha's demise has caused an irreparable loss not only to our university but also to the entire country and nation. He is not physically among us today, but his thoughts and works will always inspire us.
Senator Ranjan Yadav said that Prof. Amarnath Sinha was very popular among the youth. His life is a source of inspiration for the youth. At the end of the program everyone kept silence for two minutes and Prof. Prayed to God for the peace of Sinha's soul.
