Mumbai, 14 November (HS). Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said in the election rally in Nandurbar on Thursday that tribals are the original owners of India but they are not getting their share in the government. They will get this participation only through the Constitution.
Rahul Gandhi was addressing a campaign meeting organized in support of Mahavikas Aghadi candidates in Nandurbar. He said that if the tribal population in the country is 8 percent then participation should also be 8 percent. When the central government spends Rs 100, only 10 paise is earmarked for the tribals. Attacking the government, Rahul Gandhi said that the people of the government call all the tribals as forest dwellers, they are snatching your rights. Your land, water and forests are being snatched away and given to billionaires. Tribal people are the original owners of India. The only way to change this is through caste census. From this we will know how much population and how much participation they are getting in the government.
Rahul Gandhi said that as soon as his government comes to power, caste census will be started. With this, the reservation limit will be increased by 50 percent. Rahul Gandhi said that many industries in Maharashtra have been shifted to neighboring states, due to which unemployment has increased in the state. Rahul Gandhi said that if his government comes to power, industries from any other state will not be sent to any other state. Rahul Gandhi has again reiterated the promises of Mahavikas Aghadi in the campaign meeting.
