A big and relief news is coming out regarding connectivity with Greater Noida, the fastest growing industrial and educational hub of the National Capital Region (NCR). Another major step has been taken in the direction of making transportation very easy and economical for the commuters traveling to Delhi-NCR, local citizens, employed youth and students coming to study from far off places. The trial has been officially started on Saturday for the operation of modern electric buses (E-Buses) from Greater Noida’s emerging important transport hub Bodaki Railway Station to Kasna via the busy commercial and educational area Parichowk. The launch of this much-awaited bus service will not only strengthen the internal transport system of Greater Noida, but will also provide permanent relief to the passengers from the hassles of expensive autos and private vehicles.
Bodaki Railway Station, located between Greater Noida and Dadri area, is being developed as a major transport hub in the coming times. Thousands of passengers reach this station every day to catch or deboard the train. Apart from this, youth from every corner of the country descend on Bodaki railway station every day to study and work in various industrial units, multinational companies and technical educational institutions of Greater Noida. After exiting the station, they had to resort to autos or other private vehicles at exorbitant fares to reach major parts of Greater Noida like Parichowk, Surajpur or Kasna. Many times, even after paying arbitrary fare, passengers were not able to get vehicles on time, due to which they were worried about missing their train or being late to office or college. There was a strong demand for starting regular public bus service on this route for a long time by the local residents, villagers and passengers, now the process of bringing it to fruition has started.
Taking cognizance of this serious problem and traffic demand of the public, a successful trial run of e-buses was started on the route from Bodaki Railway Station to Parichowk and Kasna on Saturday in collaboration with Greater Noida Authority and Transport Department. As soon as the wheels of electric buses turned on this route, there was a wave of happiness among the local villagers, passengers and people of the surrounding areas. After the success of the trial, villagers and local social workers have expressed wholehearted gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the management of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority. People say that this initiative will prove to be a milestone in the development of the region as it will not only promote pollution free transportation but will also reduce the economic burden on the pockets of the general public to a great extent.
Along with industrial development, residential settlements are also expanding rapidly in Greater Noida. Many people living in different sectors and societies of Greater Noida also often go to Bodaki Railway Station for train travel. In such a situation, there was a dire need for an accessible and safe means of transportation to return home from the station or from home to the station. The biggest benefit from the launch of this new e-bus service is going to be to the working class and college going students. Now students and employees will be able to reach their destination in a timely manner at affordable fares without any stress. Local social workers Parshuram and Sanjay Choudhary, reacting to this trial, said that the regular operation of this bus service will not only provide relief to the daily commuters, but will also strengthen the connectivity of the rural areas around Bodaki Railway Station with the main city, which will further facilitate employment opportunities and mobility at the local level.
In today’s time, when the entire country and the world is struggling with the problem of pollution, using electric vehicles (E-Buses) for public transport is a far-sighted and environment-friendly step. In these e-buses being launched by the Greater Noida Authority, full attention has been paid to comfortable seats, safe travel and pollution-free technology for modern passengers. These buses make less noise and keep carbon emissions completely zero. The process of finalizing the route and time table of these buses running between Bodaki and Kasna is going on rapidly, so that it can be completely dedicated to the general public in the coming few days. This modern transportation development in Greater Noida will not only make life easier for the local citizens, but the city is also setting a great example for other smart cities in the country.
