Prayagraj, 02 August (HS). Under the 'One tree in the name of mother' campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh government's Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi planted a sapling in Smritika Vatika Dadri Naini on Friday. He said that trees are the basis of our life, trees are our present and trees are our future.
Minister Nandi planted a sapling and said that while planting saplings protects nature, it also nurtures our Mother Earth. Therefore, it is everyone's responsibility to join the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” to protect nature and actively contribute to making the movement for environmental protection more effective and dynamic.
He said that every tree planted to protect nature is extremely important for climate protection and the coming generation. The aim of this initiative started by the Prime Minister is to show our love and respect for mother in a new form. Nandi appealed to the people and said that let us all join the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign to protect nature and pay homage to our mothers. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi, on July 20, the public welfare resolution of planting more than 36.50 crore saplings in a day in the 'New Uttar Pradesh' of 'New India' was fulfilled.
Nandi said that the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi appealed to the countrymen to plant trees to save the environment. PM Modi started the campaign 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' on the occasion of World Environment Day in the 111th episode of Mann Ki Baat. During this, PM Modi appealed that everyone should plant a tree in the name of their mother. Because the most precious relationship in the world is that of a mother. Mother has the highest status in all our lives. Mother nurtures her child by bearing every pain. Every mother showers all her affection on her child. This love of the mother who gave birth is like a debt on all of us which no one can repay.
