Vadodara city has witnessed an alarming rise in cases of cholera, typhoid, dengue and chikungunya as well as diarrhoea and vomiting as the monsoon season has turned into disease season. Under which 3 children infected with Chandipura virus, which is wreaking havoc in different parts of Gujarat, are being treated in the pediatric department of SSG Hospital in the city. Apart from this, 3 cholera patients have been admitted to Sayaji Hospital due to the spread of cholera in Padra taluk.
Three children infected with Chandipura virus are being treated in the pediatric ward of the government Sayaji Hospital, which is considered to be very busy in Central Gujarat. One of the three children has been kept in the ICU ward due to his critical condition. At present, samples of all the suspected patients have been sent to the laboratory for testing.
On the other hand, the health system has become worried due to the cases of cholera in Padra. More than 50 cases of water-borne epidemic including stomach pain, diarrhea and vomiting have been reported in various areas of Padra. Out of which 3 cases of cholera have been reported in 24 hours.
